Sayaro Cloud Forest Glamping, situated on a private sustainable farm in a primary cloud forest northwest of Ecuador's capital, provides a perfect blend of comfort and immersive natural experience.

The cloud forest, only a 2 ½-hour drive from Quito near the small village of Atahualpa, lies at an altitude of 2200 to 2400 meters (7200 to 7875 feet). This quaint and remote site will serve as your home during your stay, with Lorena and Felipe as your hosts.

Sayaro is a one-bedroom safari tent that accommodates up to three people comfortably. It provides excellent comfort with private facilities located just three roof-covered steps away. Enjoy a private balcony overlooking the forest and an outdoor dining area with a fire pit within this serene setting. The tent features quality beds with allergy-free, fair-trade alpaca duvets and pillows. High-speed WiFi is available, and for cooler evenings, a stove keeps the tent warm.

Sayaro is nestled on an organic farm, ensuring that food production adheres to sustainable farming practices. Your meals are prepared directly on the farm using locally sourced, fresh, and seasonal ingredients. From homemade yogurt and cheese to free-range eggs, nuts, seeds, and organic fruits and vegetables, a variety of dishes are crafted in an environmentally responsible manner.

Sayaro Glamping is located near the small town of Atahualpa, approximately a 2.5-3 hour drive from Quito and accessible only by 4WD vehicles. Transport to and from Quito is included in all our programs.

Please bring comfortable walking clothes and rain gear. We will provide a packing list upon booking.

The climate at Sayaro is mild, characterized by sunny to cloudy mornings and heavy afternoon rains. Nights can be cold, while days are typically warm and humid year-round, with average temperatures ranging between 20-24°C (68-75°F).

The Glamping tents are equipped with electricity from solar panels. You can comfortably charge your electronic devices such as cell phones and cameras.

For cooler nights, our Glamping tents feature a wood stove, which can be lit upon request by our staff.

There is no mobile reception at Sayaro, but WiFi is available. Please note that the WiFi is limited and not suitable for streaming. Consider it a friendly invitation to truly disconnect in order to reconnect with nature.

Each tent can be fitted with one, two, or three single beds that can be converted into a matrimonial bed. A sofa bed for children can be added if needed.

All personal expenses at Sayaro must be paid in cash only.

There is no malaria in our Glamping area.

Our Glamping safari tent is nestled in nature, so encountering insects is possible. However, the tents are enclosed and cleaned daily.

Currently, we do not offer laundry services at Sayaro.
